These vary at any one time, but a range of out of school time/lunchtime activities are available to pupils. They include such activities as netball, scrabble, football, basketball, chess, Get Cooking, Mandarin, science, ICT, art, recorders, First Aid, gardening, choir and skipping (all attended by children with parental permission).
In addition to the music taught as part of the National Curriculum, there are also opportunities for children to learn to play various musical instruments. According to the age of the child, there are opportunities to learn the violin, clarinet, flute and trumpet. These instruments are taught through the peripatetic music service and parents are asked to pay a termly sum in advance to cover the cost of the service. Guitar lessons are provided by the music support service for all Y5 pupils with the option of Y6 pupils carrying on.
