Pupil Progress and Attainment

Progress and attainment are rigorously monitored. Teacher assessment provides ongoing information on what an individual pupil has learned at key points throughout the year. Age appropriate testing is used to balance teacher assessment and to provide an analysis of the areas of learning that need to be secured next.

As we continue to get to grips with renewed curriculum expectations at a national level, our focus is on enabling all children to reach Age Related Expectations and to make expected progress or better, based on their starting points. We closely monitor progress throughout the year and report this in detail to the Governing body three times a year. Progress and attainment information is also shared with the parents at parents’ evenings and on the annual written reports. As a school we work hard to ensure that all children receive the balance of challenge and support required to achieve their potential.

The government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance.
